GeezerDuvet CC takes corporate social responsibility seriously. It is our intention to benefit South Africa, the broader community and small businesses wherever possible.

• The vast majority of materials used in the production of GeezerDuvet geyser blankets are recycled.
• All materials used in the production of the GeezerDuvet are manufactured in South Africa.
• Installing the GeezerDuvet cuts the electricity required by a household. This means less electricity needs to be produced, so less coal needs to be burned, which in turn is good news for the planet.
• Taken to its logical conclusion, if everyone fitted a GeezerDuvet in South Africa, the reduction in demand for electricity would be significant and provide some tangible relief for Eskom's supply challenges.

Choice of insulation material:

We have chosen (in our opinion) the best insulation material currently available in the South African market. It is non-toxic, maintenance free, contains no fibreglass and is people and environmentally friendly. It has excellent insulating qualities because it retains its thickness and complies with C.S.I.R. building technology fire propagation requirements.

Choice of manufacturer:

• We have chosen to use sheltered employment groups like the Cerebral Palsy Association's Village Work Centre based in Cape Town and the Forrest Farm in Gauteng to assist in the assembly of our products. Providing such work opportunities for adults with Cerebral Palsy helps these adults to increase their productivity and independence.
